Salt & Light Foundation Grants

The Salt and Light Foundation, Inc. is an independent religious non-profit foundation dedicated to inspiring and enabling Christian discipleship of the next generation by researching, developing, promoting, and distributing Christian materials, programs, and activities for educators, parents, grandparents, and churches in cooperation with other aligned Christian organizations and entities.

Individuals and organizations actively involved in the implementation of our mission are encouraged to apply for grants following the guidelines below:

Organizational Grant Guidelines

Applicants may submit an introductory letter giving a brief overview of the proposal before submitting a request for funding.
This overview will help determine the potential of funding by the foundation.

In applying for an organizational grant, the following information should be included:

• Summary statement.
• The specific purpose of the funds requested.
• Qualifications of key personnel.
• The amount requested.
• A detailed copy of how the money would be spent.
• A statement advising how the grant, if made, can be evaluated with regard to the goals and mission of the Salt and Light Foundation.
• Names and members of the Board of Directors and their principal occupations.
• Evidence that this application has the approval of the Board of Directors: a copy of the minutes of the Board of Directors meeting.
• A copy of the organization's Internal Revenue Service federal tax-exempt letter 501(c)(3).
• Names, titles, and telephone numbers of three professionals familiar with the work of your organization.

After the above materials are received, if your request is under consideration, you may be contacted to arrange an online interview.

The general policy of The Salt and Light Foundation is to make grants to 501 (C) (3) organizations involved in and in support of “intentional Christian discipleship of the next generation”.

Requests for individual funding should be submitted using the Salt and Light Individual Grant Guidelines.

Foundation grants are generally made once a year, and the deadline for receiving proposals is November 15th.

However, the urgency of grant applications will be taken into consideration.
